It's highly overstated tho. Most are at least happy with someone our same height.

It's simple.

A taller, larger man (with a deeper voice) naturally tends to make for a more intimidating figure. This gives them an advantage when it comes to being seen as authoritative and strong. Women are typically, naturally attracted to those qualities in men.

The effect isn't just on women. Taller men tend to get more positions of authority in business (managers, etc) and a study found that men find deep male voices show leadership and women found deeper male voices more attractive. Hell, even taller referees are apparently able to better establish control over football games than shorter ones.

Also, it doesn't really matter that we now live a domesticed lifestyle. The attractiveness and authority of these features is hardcoded into us through evolution. And those emotions dont operate on a rational level.

It's the year of our Lord, 2018, and businesses still prioritize tall height, never mind credentials. Given that they're paid more, it's heightism at its finest.

I, myself, have a deep voice, hairy arms and a chest, so I'm oozing with testosterone, but wasn't blessed with tallness, unfortunately.

I have a question for you, ladies.

Picture a guy who's 6'+, but skinny and not particularly strong. Would you feel protected with such a guy?

I ask this because whenever this topic is discussed, the focus is always on height. Strength seldom comes up, even though that would be a determining factor if protection were indeed the objective. I'm just curious to know what the threshold is.

For me it's not just about the height, I like him to be bigger than me in general, not bulging muscles type but bulky and just very manly all round, a deep voice, and hairiness are also very attractive traits to me - skinny men just don't appeal to me at all, regardless of their height, it's not only about feeling protected, I just find the physical traits I listed so much more of a turn-on and I'm lucky to have an SO that is exactly my type

Youve got to be pretending to be clueless at this point. As has already been stated countless times ITT, female attraction to height and size has nothing to do with how likely it is to be helpful or needed in this day and age. This desire is hardwired into our species from hundreds of thousands of years of evolution when size was a strong indicator of how well a man could provide for his family.

I guess I cant blame you too much for being salty, though. If I were all the way down there at 56, Id feel the same way lol

Well, considering taller men are more likely to get promoted to authority positions at work, even in today's world a tall man has a better chance at providing well for his mate and offspring than a manlet.

And taller guys (who take care of their physicality) are certainly a more intimidating presence than a manlet.

I wouldn't say it's entirely false, may that there are ways to make up for it that require more effort from short men.

Funny how we live in a world where tall height, a trait one didn't work hard for or earned, is highly valued simply because of its physical presence. Heightism has no place in modern society, yet, it exists.
