Just picked one up yesterday with botw.

I've eyeballed enter the gungeon, is there anything else that is easily 2p couch friendly? That is not MK8. Something similar to zombies ate my neighbors, or gauntlet. Gonna be picking up 2 copies of stardew valley too, but coop isn't out yet for it.

Don't think there's anything really like Gauntlet belt for Enter the Gungeon, but that isn't that great for co-op imo. Snipperclips is a great co-op game, but not in the genre you wanted.

I've seen alot of recommendations dor snipperclippers, but it just isn't for me and my girlfriend. If she liked it, I'd grab it but she isn't too entranced by it. Looks fun, but also looks like something we'd ever play with children.

Enter the Gungeon is fantastic but hard as balls. Its pretty much only good for co-op with a serious player

Rayman Legends
Lego City Undercover has a co-op version on Switch
Minecraft (wife and I have put hundreds of hours into this)
Super Mario Odyssey has a girlfriend co-op mode that's decently fun
Arms campaign can be played co-op

We'll be getting some new co-op games when the new Kirby and Yoshi games come out this year. I'm looking forward to those. Kirby in particular seems to be putting more focus on co-op abilities.

Mario Odyssey is a great beginner co-op game. The second player plays as cappy, which is pretty much invincible, can attack enemies, can collect coins and items, and can help Mario with jumps and such.

It makes the game easier for both players, but it teaches you to work together to perform the more complex tasks.
