It looks so much better. 3rd Strike may play better but 2nd Impact just looks cooler with the UI and stages >_>

Yeah, while Third Strike is the better overall game (better gameplay, larger roster and better overall voice acting) I still feel to this day that 2nd Impact is far superior when it comes to most everything else.
The character portraits, UI and win/loss screens were WAY more stylish. And each character not only had their own stages (instead of most sharing stages like Third Strike), but a lot of them had transitions between rounds.
