If Im gonna drink crappy beer Ill just do Mexican since those come with lime and salt at bars, which is delicious. If youre drinking Bud you may as well just drink King Cobra (literally almost the same beer by the same company but stronger and cheaper). Annheuser should just be thankful older drinkers have actually bought into the anti-craft nonsense. All craft beer is doing is adding some flavor and giving you some old world variety. Craft breweries didnt invent the styles of beer theyre showcasing...

If you're already failing, there's not much to lose. And strictly speaking, the failure would be because the millennials being blamed aren't customers.

They're not blaming millennials solely for it they're saying part of the reason for the decline is that they aren't drinking it as much as the prior generation did at that age. Also beer in general has been losing market share to wine and liquor for a decade now and there's more than just millennials being behind the decline.

I think it's because we've realized that what you drink and what you drive are terrible indictors of what kind of man you are.

I mean a guy who rides a Harley and drinks Budweiser but has kids being brought up by television is pathetic.

Or alternatively, a guy who rides a Harley and drinks Budweiser and has kids he brings up with love and approprite discipline is a real man, just like one who knits sweaters and drinks tea and has kids he brings up with love and appropriate discipline.

No I haven't. I don't even like margaritas to begin with. But they seem to be popular with the ladies in my wife's circle of friends and family.

Also enough for Budweiser to market a 3.2% and a 5% ABV of each kind so they can be sold in liquor stores and the other outlets. Something they haven't done for any of their other line of drinks. Though they do have a Bud Premium which is only sold in liquor stores. But as I understand it, it is a different beer from Bud. Standard Bud and Bud Light cannot be bought in this state in a liquor store.

I've been seeing quite a lot of them in Thailand over the last year. They are expensive at over 1 million baht to start ($33k+ usd). The rich guys who want a true big bike either go for the BMW S1000RR, Harley's, or Ducati (Multistrada and Panigales are popular).

I see at least one Harley per day. Even a bunch of them in Malaysia as well.

I wonder how much of this is due to the changed nature of advertising. Bud still runs commercials on TV nonstop, but people don't watch commercials anymore. We don't get ads on our computers (if you're smart enough to have adblock). People don't have to be force-fed Bud anymore. Meanwhile, if there's a bomb ass craft beer cellar in your town it's going to have good word of mouth. No advertising required.

Millenials are the driving force behind the craft brew industry, both as brewers and consumers. Where's the praise for support small business rather than following blind brand loyalty?

Now, if you don't mind me, I'm off to stand in line to buy an Apple product and then after that I'm buying a bunch of Nintendo Amiibos.

I'm just not a fan of lime in beer. I remember that use to be all the rage in the 90's; accent beer with citrus fruits. So I would imagine it would not appeal to me.

maybe a rounding law?

In America diet coke is 0 calories but in europe it's "less than 1 calorie"

That's because Coca-Cola thinks the false advertising fine is lower than the amount of money they'd lose by using honest advertising.

no that's not it at all. Aspartame actually does have a negligible calorie content but the FDA standards say that you don't have to label your product as having calories if it only has a negligible amount. I've burnt more calories typing this response than contained within a can of diet coke.

regulations in the EU are different where unless something actually has absolutely 0 you can't label it as 0.

Another point to bring up is that millenials are the first generation to grow up where the standard is a huge variety of beer being available essentially everywhere. Is it really surprising then that they don't have brand loyalty to an older beer given how crowded the market place happens to be?

To be honest, I can't remember the last time I had a Bud other than at Wrigley.
