Roads were icy as fuck. I was in a left turn lane, some lady swerved over two lanes in front of me, I couldn't stop in time so I swerved to avoid her and hit some poor other dude who didn't do anything wrong. Lady's car is fine, dude's car was damaged pretty bad and mine is a disaster. Go figure. No injuries.

No idea why I'm posting this here, just a little shaken up I guess.

That sucks rocks man. I had my truck totaled back in August. Idiot lady was trying to pass on the shoulder (it was gravel) of the road on the oncoming lane, got back on the road and started fishtailing. Thankfully I had gotten a little passed and she smashed into the driver side bed of my truck. Spun me around 180 about about 50 yards away.

Oh yeah, that's probably totaled. That's probably some frame damage on that driver side.

The lady ended up driving off too because she was fine. I would've snapped her plates ASAP but she got out of the car to check if we were okay so I assumed she was sticking around, then she left while I was on the phone with my wife.

Luckily the cops said there are cameras, so hopefully they can peg her. I'm a little worried I'll still assume some fault for not slowing down far enough in advance given the road conditions or something (which would not be entirely unfair) but the fact is that I 100% had enough room to slow down until she swerved in front of me. So, I don't know how they sort these things.
