I want to do travels and stuff and spend money, but he just wants to be so damn cheap and find the cheapest options for everything ugh.

He's allowed to spend his money however he sees fit. He's not obligated to go on expensive vacations with you. He probably finds your spending frivolous.

Expensive? I don't have much money either and I don't really care for luxary. But he is kinda extreme. I mean while I loved it, it was awesome experience, we slept in the trunk of his car in Stockholm for 2 trips over there instead of getting a hotel room or something. Honestly, I loved the car trip, it was kinda a bad example, but still you understand what I mean.

John who I dated summer of 2016 was not cheap. Just the dates with him was almost too costly imo
