It's a rich question, and there are plenty of possible answers. But if you're asking in good faith, if you really want to think through why someone might have acted as she did, the most important one is this: Women are enculturated to be uncomfortable most of the time. And to ignore their discomfort.

^ Just more proof that the new feminism is about treating women like helpless products of the environment, not as individual human adults with their own agency and capable of making their own decisions.

At least, not without a man to decide for them when they don't want sex.

I do not, for a second, believe that women are encultured to be uncomfortable and ignore their discomfort. At most, I'd acknowledge they're willing to tolerate discomfort in exchange for something else, but that isn't a situation unique to women or necessarily a bad thing.

i'm not saying its men. its society, which includes women. women are also part of the problem.
