Think of your favourite combined arms shooter, and imagine it on the scale of an MMO where battles naturally progress through the world with persistent territory control, rather than having map rotations where everything you did is lost in the change. I don't know why. it just wasn't as fun. but part of it is I think I had some problems running it well on my computer. anyway, I wish there was something like Planetside crossed with Battlefield 1942. Battlefield 1942 was awesome and had 32 vs 32 players on a map. I want it even bigger and have the entire earth in the game. and you have the axis and the allies fighting over territory. and you can change history. the fighting can reach places it never did, like North America. the game only resets if one side manages to conquor the whole globe, or maybe like the capital falls or something. so like if the axis takes DC or if Allies take Berlin. then the game would reset and you start over. but other than that, it's a persistant battle system over a realistically depicted earth. there would be travel options to get around, with planes and trains and stuff. <cite>Zikten posted [p:895150312] in 2018 and M...
