The governors proclamation encourages all South Carolinians to stand for the playing of the national anthem before the Super Bowl LII matchup between the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles. In a campaign email to his supporters, McMaster was more pointed in his attack against NFL players. This football season weve seen NFL players disrespect our veterans by taking a knee to our nations flag and anthem, McMaster wrote. A couple of my friends/guests stood up with me so I thought it was a race for the bathroom so I like sprinted out the room. Everyone was a bit confused and the other guys stayed standing. I came back kind of WTF why are you guys standing and it was because I stood for the anthem they felt they had to as well. Give it a shot this sunday if you are watching with people.
