The average tax burden for the average taxpayer in Kansas is -$7800. The state doesn't even have enough assets ($4 Billion) to cover its debt ($11.2 Billion) so of course that experiment was going to fail. The US spends so much money on K-12 education on a per-student basis. Just look at Baltimore. The Democratic Party needs to start coming up with solutions that don't involve throwing more money at the problem.
