Liberals can complain how bad these tax cuts are all they want, the fact of the matter is struggling families will see a bigger paycheck thanks to it. When youre in that position youll gladly take what you can get. Its easy saying how bad these tax cuts are from the sidelines, but ~$100 extra a month can make a tangible difference for burdened families

And, in the long run, the cuts will further drive wages down

You know what drives wages down? Flooding the job market with cheap unskilled labor. If the Dems can get their heads out of their asses and get on board with curtailing illegal immigration, thats a big start. US citizens have dreams too.

Kansas has been a sinkhole state for quite a while now. The average tax burden for the average taxpayer in Kansas is -$7800. The state doesn't even have enough assets ($4 Billion) to cover its debt ($11.2 Billion) so of course that experiment was going to fail. If they did the same experiment in California or Texas, the experiment would have been a success, not a state that has been hemorrhaging debt for a while now.

Yes but you cannot harvest all of those resources. The more fossil fuels used today, the more of a shitshow the future will be. The cost to the planet and to the future economy would dwarf that reserve amount.

The US spends so much money on K-12 education on a per-student basis. Just look at Baltimore. The Democratic Party needs to start coming up with solutions that don't involve throwing more money at the problem.

Right now, there is no Democratic Party platform, maybe with the exception of the Bernie Sanders wing of the party. The mainstream Democrats, like Joe Kennedy? Their entire platform is just to constantly whine about Trump.

Oh well that's their problem if they are no longer getting as large of a mortgage interest deduction. I don't know how I feel about the SALT thing though, I see how that could be problematic for states w/ high income taxes.

Ok? That's a functionally useless asset if it can't be accessed or sold. It's theoretical. That shit should stay in the ground for the betterment of everyone. If the US followed the Paris agreement most of that would be off limits

It is unfair because it was obvious the cap on the deductions were a direct hit on blue states with a high cost of living and high state income taxes. They live in million dollar homes that are just the average price for a house around here.

No really tell me more

I avoid plastic because I know what it is. I also avoid overly damaging things like animal agriculture. I actually put my money where my mouth is on this.

We need to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels and continue research and development on alternatives. And not extract 128 trillion in reserves.

The US is trying to do "clean coal" do they're clearly out to lunch on the environment

That was what I was asking about thanks. So basically nothing compared to the oil and gas which should not be extracted because of environmental concerns
