Watching the sinister six-symbiote fight. Emmy fucking worthy right there.

Spectacular Spider-Man
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Wolverine and the X-Men
Young Justice [IN PROCESS OF BEING CORRECTED]

Some of the biggest animation tragedies in recent years.

Spectacular Spider-Man ended on such a somber point too and still had so many more great arcs to cover, especially the bomb under the table that was Gwen Stacy. And like you said, the fight scenes in that show was amazing. It's a shame Marvel got bought when they did, Ultimate Spider-Man couldn't even hold Spectacular's jock strap.

100% agree man. Spectacular Spiderman is severely overlooked and I hate what happened with Wolverine and the X-men as well. At least YJ is getting a new season. I never watched the Avengers cartoon, although I've meant to.

Wasn't The Avengers show replaced by another Avengers show? What was the difference between the two?

The worst part is how it got screwed over. Disney buying Marvel combined with Sony owning spiderman's movie rights meant that the show's ownership was up in the air and it was just in transition and the fact that they ended it for the piece of crap that is ultimate spiderman, a show with 100+ fucking episodes over spectacular spiderman's meager 26, is just downright criminal. It's inhuman.

What could have been.

I watched the first season of Ultimate Spiderman and yeah, it was just as meh as meh could be. I watched a few of the alter episodes every now and then when I caught it on but I was confused as to why all of a sudden there was no focus on the friends / team from season 1. Don't like the show enough at all to watch it and find out though.

The exact same difference with spiderman. One was really good (earth's mightiest heroes), the other that replaced it (avengers assemble) is pure unadulterated garbage.

Indeed. The opera house episode was a damn near masterpiece.

The sad thing is, the majority of the criticism Spectacular got(and still gets) comes from people that have never actually watched it and base their arguments mainly on their dislike of it's visuals. Usually hardcore and militant fans of Spider-man TAS. And if somebody actually happens to have a criticism that's not about the art style, they usually just try to compare things to TAS and not judge the show by it's own merits.

These are also the ones that tend to use the fact that it only lasted 26 episodes to determine it's overall quality. Well then if we go by the logic that the longer a show lasts, means it's a better show, then that would make Ultimate Spider-man the best one.

I wasn't aware there were criticizers of spectacular, and what's more they happen to be tas fans, but as someone who grew up with tas and loved it to death as a kid, there is no comparison; Spectacular Spiderman is leagues ahead. And not just because tas is actually kinda bad, but rather because Spectacular Spiderman is just that, spectacular. I mean hell, it's greg weisman.

You'll often come across those people on Spider-man vidoes on sites like Youtube. They also blindly assume anyone that likes Spectacular is a kid. Which is funny because that would mean that these so called "kids" are better critics than the so called "adults" because they're judging the show by it's writing and stories and such.

Oh so it wasn't a continuation of the prior series? I always assumed that it was.
