You just entered and saved in an area you can't backtrack out of, and you're severely under leveled with no possibility to grind. Oh and this is your only save.

I think the MGS2 SPOILERS Vamp boss fight was more annoying growing up, how he avoids your attacks and slowly walks towards you like a douche lol.

I actually basically beat MGS2 on that setting on hard but I fuckin quit the buttom mashing segment towards the end.

There's three crystals in the area that you need to collect to get the REAL ending. And the area is inaccessible after you beat it; if you miss any crystal you need to start a new game (it auto-saves your progress).

Also the crystals are placed randomly when the game loads because the developers think it's more fun for you to jump through their hoops than to look up a guide.

There's a tedious minigame placed in the middle of the level that's neccessary to unlock a character's best gear.

Escort quest through a whole stage that takes at least 30-50 minutes at appropriate level, the NPC is useless, gets scared, and dies fast... and you have to do the fucking boss with him

He obviously died a lot due to platform wide attacks from the boss and the quest was stupid because of this so in the gamecube version of the game they made it so the npc "plays dead" during the boss...

The person you're escorting follows a set path. There are obstacles on this path that you need to move out of the way before they get to them, otherwise you are forced to restart. There isn't enough time to remove all of the obstacles, but the path they follow narrowly avoids some of them. Need to figure out which obstacles actually need to be moved and which will just waste time.

Then you need to do it all again with a second person who follows a slightly different path through the obstacles.
