something spooks the target before they can make a move
now they're sitting on their ass with several hundred lbs of military assault weapons they can't easily dispose of in a 20th floor hotel room and their cover's very close to being blown
they improvise a coverup on the spot and shoot the seller then unload all the ammo at the only thing they can which is the concert across the street, then they off themselves
the feds who were part of the original plot arrive to tie up the loose ends and make sure there's only one body found in the wreckage

I didn't know he didn't have a license when I made this topic. But he still didn't do what he is accused of by the public. he is being charged with illegally selling ammo. he is not being charged with connection in any way to the shooting.

I'm not sure why it's wrong to be upset at a black market weapon seller. Like, what other person is gonna buy weapons like that if they aren't planning to use them in a bad way? If the dude isn't going through the proper legal ways to buy something, there's probably a reason

Only ammo I know that's regulated is armor piercing pistol ammo and SAPHEI, neither of which he probably sold.

Armor piercing rifle rounds aren't exactly difficult to obtain legally. A regular police officers vest is meant to protect against pistol rounds at fairly close range. It's a fairly low class of armour unless you get into swat teams and military.

What's interesting theOrlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen tried to buy body armor and a bathtub full of ammo from a gun store.

The Store owner could tell he was a nutcase, refused to serve him and alerted the FBI.

Still nothing happened and no one stopped him.

Kinda shows that it doesn't really matter what any gun stores do, guns and ammo are so easy to get in America that if you want to kill a bunch of people literally nothing is going to stop you.

without specifics its hard to know whos in the right. certain types of AP rifle ammo are not illegal to own or buy (or i believe to make). the higher end stuff that the military currently uses (m993 and m995 and variants) i think is illegal, but that stuff tends to be highly regulated and difficult to find. now if you made that stuff or tried then you might run into problems. however this also depends on the state since some tend to use some really really shitty definitions of what a pistol round is and AP pistol rounds are illegal everywhere. same with tracers which depends on the state (i dont think nevada has any restrictions on those).

and 1000rounds is nothing to even a moderate shooter.

that said, its a bullet. literally billions are in the US and sold and it doesnt matter what kind of bullet it was. the damage that the vegas shooter did would be the same if it was a standard 55grain ball or a m995. it was a turkey shoot in an open field with hundreds of soft targets.

the guy is fucked as far as selling home made ammo without a license (even as stupid as it is), but theres no reason to push deaths threats on the guy. there are literally billions of rounds sold in this country per year, some of them arnt going to be used lawfully. i also question what type of AP rounds the guy sold him. military grade m993 .308 rounds are heavily restricted, but m2 AP "black tips" are not. and really when you get down to it it doesnt matter that much what ammo he used. it was one big turkey shoot in a field with hundreds of soft targets. doesnt matter if it was an m993 or a standard 55grain ball.
