And it's a series where the more you challenge yourself, the more fun you'll have. Like speedrunning a mon is a pretty fun affair, or using a shitty gear to simulate G-rank on a MH game with no G-rank

That being said, it's also why people tend to like the harder MHs the most

Well how long should I be taking? I just fought a Tzitzi-Ka-Lyu or w/e the fuck it is. I was hitting it over and over on the head and it was taking yellow damage. Took over 20 minutes.

Maybe my weapon just sucks.

Sometimes you can't control it taking long. Last night I fought a Rathian that would fly across the map everytime I showed up. Did it 3 times without me getting a hut at one point

TC is an anomaly. Most people enjoy the grind and strong monsters in this game. I had 24 hours solo before I played with a friend last night

It's a game about getting better at the game and mastering every nuance. That being said, some people skip that shit and get carried, which I think in MHW that's been made a slightly bit harder to do because they require you to solo some degree of stuff.

Fights also take long for new players because they don't stay close to the monsters long enough. Most experienced players pretty much spend the entire battle right next to the monster. Noobs tend to run around a whole lot just looking for small opportunities

Your weapon probably does suck. I just fought Tzitzi in high rank for the first time and it couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes total.

And Tzitzi sucks, he should be dying very fast.

I hit the 50 hour mark last night, and i'm a hunter rank 8. I'm not even close to bored or finished. It's a game where you need to learn, research and grind. For me solo, It takes about 5 to 8 minutes on a lesser large monster and the tough ones at most 15 minutes. With a squad working together, using buffs and the proper elemental weapons, equipment, traps, and strategy, it takes even less. You get out of it what you put into it.

Afaik the only thing you "have" to solo is walking solo to the cutscene in story missions before you can fire your SOS flare and have three Japanese players appear in your game near instantly

Yeah he was the easiest monster yet but he took a serious beating for some reason. I'm using the jyuro long blade
