Yes, there is actually in depth stealth mechanics. Your equipment and skill determine it, even the color of your clothes. You cant stealth in full plate armor. You better wear cloths, and dark colored outfit will help you sneak better at night. For example this quest shown from a streamer. You have to scout a bandit camp. You either can go all rambo ifvyou are confident, or you can sneak in.
