Having literally all my digital games and dlc downloaded and still having 2.7tb left, feels good man. I went entirely digital a while ago so it was necessary.

I want to switch from my 2tb to 4tb... but having to deal with all the transferring is a headache I don't want to deal with.

You know what'd be an even better decision? Getting a 4TB (or more) internal one.

(Yes, you can replace the internal HDD on the PS4, it doesn't even void your warranty. It's not like Xbox where you have to get their proprietary one, for the models where you can even do it at all.)

I know you can. But if you look it up, games oddly read faster from external drives than internal ones. That's why I went external.

Fuck that. You know ps4 firmware prevents you from gaining any benefit from ssd right?

Worth it. I used my income tax return on it, was $109. Worth it for me being all digital.

thought it was a pro for some reason, which do see a significant decrease in loading times across the board

Yeah pro does I think. The og/slim doesn't. Ssd does nothing for them.

Is that true with the same HDD being tested or just when the drive in the external is faster since it's a 7200rpm drive when compared to the standard internal drive which is 5400rpm? Why would a drive be faster as an external drive than an internal drive if it was the same drive?

I use an external but just because 3.5 drives are cheaper than 2.5 and I already had a 3.5 enclosure around. I know it's faster than the base drive, but that's because it's 7200rpm with more cache.
