Is it miserable? Im thinking about having 2 jobs because making over $60,000 a year at 28 years old sounds dope as fuck. On the other hand, I wonder how long it will take until I completely burn out on it. Idk, my latter years in high school I worked 25-30 hours a week on top of the 30-35 hours a week that I was in school (plus homework whenever I decided to do it) and Im tougher now than I was then. Plus I absolutely HATED high school. I havent worked a retail job that made me hate life as much as I did in my HS days.

I think you're going to find it varies from person to person. I work a typical 40 hour a week office job and I'm satisfied with the amount of free time I have, especially on weekends. I don't think I could imagine upping that to 60 just for a few extra dollars.

That said, it depends on how much you make in your primary job. If you're really strapped for cash, then definitely do it. However, if you're living fine and just want some extra dispensable cash, then I'd think twice. 60 hours is a lot. Yeah more money is nice, but you won't have much time to enjoy it. Your mind will always be thinking about "work tomorrow."

I don't work that many hours often but I can say it catches up to you and I don't find it worth it for an extended period of time. I'm an electrician so it's physically exhausting after that long, but non physical work would probably still be tiring

I work with some who work up to 15 hours a day between two jobs.

One full time job and then they go to some part time job.

Maybe a few hours of sleep a day and no free time.

I used to work about that much shortly after finishing college. One job as a receptionist at a public radio station and a second as a night clerk at a library. It was 8-4 M-F for one and 4:30 - 9:30 T/W/Th plus 10-4 Saturday at the other

I thought it was pretty alright. I wouldn't be able to do it any more, though. No free time at all for friends/family really. I would just watch some tv and go to bed p soon after getting home

I work 55 hours a week. I make just under 60k a year. It's nice. I live in a pretty low cost of living area, so I live alone in a decent condo and pretty much buy whatever I want. Someday, the neighbors will call the police because of an awful stench coming from next door. That's when ambulances pull up and drag my dead rotting carcass out. Natural causes, of course.

my schedule sometimes spikes when things don't work properly

i don't mind it except when it's a 60 hour week with 40+ hours of just meetings

i hate meetings. i'm ok with spending a lot of time running analyses.

but honestly they pay me enough that if they need me to sit through eighty hours of trump talking about his penis a week i would not quit

60 is fairly manageable but you do need to factor in things like commute times. Its one thing to work one job for 60 hours, its another to work 2 30 hour jobs where the second job starts like 2 hours after the first and you have dead time in the middle, separate commutes, negotiating shifts when work overlaps etc... Depends on the work but 2 30 hour job is probably more akin to a single 80 hour job in hassle/timing.
