I just got at bonus at work, so now I have an extra $15,000. I think I want to buy a really nice computer, but I heard this bit-coin craze has the computer market all wonky. Should I wait a few months or just build one now?

With a bonus like that I think you'll be fine. It is a bad time to build one but if you can afford it and need it then you may as well go ahead.

prebuilts suck, just decide what kind of resolution you want and what kinds of things you intend to be doing, if you want 2 monitors, etc

The thing is that eventually GPU mining will become unprofitable, which will take a few years for many of the coins.
Nvidia and AMD know this and know that the miners will dump used cards in droves, so they are never going to create the surplus because it will fuck them over. Despite saying they are doing everything they can, they can obviously go further, but that wouldn't be wise.
