i've read before that bullying mostly occurs in middle school, then high school 2nd. But i think that h.s shootings are much more common than m.s shootings.

I was never bullied in school, and I never bullied others. I was always well liked by everyone.

I genuinely feel sorry for you guys that got bullied.
But still, as a non-American it's hard for me to understand how is your mentality so different.
In my school, if you constantly bullied someone, you'd eventually get hit by a chair. Even if you picked on the smallest guy in the school.

Anyhow, in my case, I was the bully most of the time. But never in a physical fashion.
I always picked on dumb kids who though they were smart and belong to some elite circles. Especially in highschool.

Almost daily from 1st grade up until I was 16. Always by racist French Canadians.

I was an athlete and relatively "popular." However, I was and still am into nerdy shit. The nerdy crowd often rejected me because I didn't look like a typical nerd.

The only other instance of bullying was from another athlete who had some sort of problem with me. We ended up getting into a fist fight and became friends after that.

As sweet as a person you are, I can't imagine you fighting someone. Then again, it was the 90s right?

hs bullying is rarely some older bigger kid beating the tar out of some younger weaker kid

and more an entire social group choosing to cut contact with one individual member of their group for some perceived minor slight

mostly hs is too big for 'real' bullying as boys know it to happen

that said i was a sprinter and my freshman and soph year a guy two years older and much bigger repeatedly would chase me down and grab my genitals, then call me a homo.

Only in elementary. I hit puberty at like 10 or 9, and immediately became bigger and stronger than anyone else in my class. then i started working out and was physically very active. At 15 to 17 i was stronger than most people older than me, and i mean people 20 - 24.

I had some issues as a kid so i could become very aggressive if someone started any shit with me. I never started any shit, but i got very mad if someone did with me. Like if i was playing one of those slot machines and someone thought it was funny start pushing the buttons for me i gave one warning and after that i would do something. I hit one guy to the face with elbow, he got bloody nose, and shit like that. Hell, i beat one kid the first day of high school for someone ratting out that i got pack of cigs in my pocket. Immediately at break, i walked to him, punch him into the chest really hard and he was out, he left early for that day. I don't mean he got knocked out but i hit him in the lung area which hurts like mofo.

Odd question for me. I suppose I did get bullied back in middle school now that I think back to that time especially since I went to a "Ghetto" school back then. That isn't easy, especially if you aren't the "Stereotypical Black Kid that loves hip-hop and gangsters" and all that. I also wasn't exactly athletic then either.

All that said I hardly ever took anything anyone said to me seriously, and I suppose I got desensitized to it. So, yes?

High School though? Nope. Everyone thought I was some sort of future Serial Killer due to my constant silence, generally unpleasant demeanor and perpetually angry face. Most left me alone.

so you were one of small number of white kids or something?

Frequently in hs by racist black kids who called me towel head and every racist white slur you can think of because of my mix.

I was part of a Hispanic click that basically faught these kids weekly. Nothing felt better than to drop one of those aholes when they got in my face.

It made me a stronger person physically and emotionally so it didn't scar me like it does for some people.

After that though people realized I was a hockey player. Things ended pretty quickly after that.

Only a couple of times, mainly by this dude in 6th grade who was a known bully. Eventually I ended up reporting him to the vice principal and it stopped.

I was one of the older looking kids in my grade which I think meant that I avoided most of the bullying that nerds usually go through, lol.
