DC CEmen help me out?

Our original plan was to take the train into the city from BWI, but it looks like the last return train is at 7:00 and we might want to stay later, so I was considering driving in. My two questions are: How bad would traffic be driving in on a Sunday? How feesible would it be to get parking at a reasonable (or free) price? Maybe a little extra traffic because of the holiday, but it should be fine. Don't quote me on this, but I think you can get all day parking in a garage for 10 or so bucks on the weekend. MacadamianNut3 02/17/18 9:16:24 AM #5:	@MegaTech @Coolppl_Owns I don't know about parking in downtown DC because I was never bold enough to try it, but if you were to drive to downtown Silver Spring (which is right at the NE edge of the DC/Maryland border, so about 10 miles from the White House), I know for sure the garages there are free on the weekend and it would be a <5 min walk to the metro stop where you could ride into DC and back. So I'm assuming, but don't know for sure, that it would be the same for other DC suburbs. There's plenty of garages of varying prices. If you go that route, best bet would be to shop around online at parking panda or something similar.
