False equivalence. Yes, there are people on the left and democrats that fall for this, but fake news sharing is mostly a right wing thing. Falling for Russian trolls is also mostly a right wing thing.

That Russian agency is friggin' incredible. They organized pro- AND anti-Muslim protests in the same location on the same day/at the same time. They funded a guy to offer self-defense courses to African-Americans in his community and then they used that to say "Look these black people are getting trained in martial arts to become even more dangerous".

Now they're saying that the 600+ Russian twitter accounts that are being followed just ramped up their posting about gun control.

To them, social media is just a sandbox and they are goin' to town with it. I am actually truly impressed by it all, if not equally depressed at how effective it is because of how easy manipulated people are. Maybe it's time we just give up on the Twitters and the Facebooks and go back to regular e-mail.
