and why are ppl being arrested for it? if that's the case then why not just stop ad campaigns, celebs promoting certain ppl(have them arrested), or any talk at all about elections.

It stops NO ONE from voting the way they want to. Unless your addle brained. Are they saying the majority of american's are stupid?
if so, why do the American ppl have the right to vote then? If they can be persuaded so easily?!

Maybe it's time to start IQ voting. do an IQ test and if you get a certain threshold you get your voters card. If you do not, you do not get the right to vote?

I'm sure there would have been international celebrities who have made comments about the election. maybe they should be called out for voting interference since their comments could be easily be shared and accessed by americans

No I'm pretty sure it's not illegal for a foreigner to go on social media and express that they like/hate a candidate

If it were, JK Rowling would be behind bars right now

This screams "my intellect is so high that I'm immune to advertising." which is simply not true. Though I do agree with you that this isn't exactly election tampering, we shouldn't be ok with foreign governments getting involved in our election process (says the guy who lives in the U.S, a country that is known for getting involved inforeign elections).

An organized concerted effort...to shitpost on Instagram. Huh.

Half of the UK's politicians also spoke out against Trump during the election, was that illegal?

That's literally what they did though. They shitposted on social media. That is literally all the 13 guys are charged with. I have not displayed their actions whatsoever; their "interference" genuinely is that mundane.

The United States of America, through its departments and agencies, regulates the activities of foreign individuals and entities in and affecting the United States in order to prevent, disclose, and counteract improper foreign influence on U.S. elections and on the U.S. political system. U.S. law bans foreign nationals from making certain expenditures or financial disbursements for the purpose of influencing federal elections. U.S. law also bars agents of any foreign entity from engaging in political activities within the United States without first registering with the Attorney General. And U.S. law requires certain foreign nationals seeking entry to the United States to obtain a visa by providing truthful and accurate information to the government. Various federal agencies, including the Federal Election Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of State, are charged with enforcing these laws.

Nope. You can keep saying this but it doesn't make it true. FARA violations are a real thing no matter how much that may piss you off.

Even if you consider what they did to only be "shitposting", you're still wrong. They were also charged with identity theft and conspiracy to commit wire fraud & bank fraud.

You honestly think these situations are comparable, don't you? Did you actually read any of the indictment or are you simply regurgitating Tucker Carlson-esque talking points?
