i live in an apartment building. people frequently put items out in the lobby for others to grab. we've gotten some nice stuff out of it, like books, bookcases, perfumes, etc. but occasionally people will just drop like, a broken couch there, or a box frame for a bed. no one obviously takes these, so the rental complex has to send people out to grab it.

for the last year ive been keeping a twin sized mattress that i used to use before i was with my girlfriend. i didn't wanna pay 60 bucks to have someone haul it away so i just stuffed it into our closet (it fit) and covered it with a blanket.

but yesterday i finally said fuck it, and at 11pm at night when no one was around, i dragged it out into the lobby.

went out today and its gone.

Heh thats funny. I was out today and saw a yellow mattress laying out in the road and when i brought it home i cut it up and there was like 3 grand stuffed in it. Gonna buy some mods for my car.
