I like the revamp 2.0 update

However, Apocalypse expansion at $20 is too expensive. You get a 2 or 3 new ships, some new weapons like artillery, and new marauder feature (space mongols)

basically paradox is purely banking on nerds being blinded by the WHOA LOL I CAN BLOW UP PLANETS NOW! feature and raking in that OP expansion profit.

stellaris is going to be fun as heck on feb 22 but not because i paid out the nose for few little content addons.

I mean, With how much they have changed with the free 2.0 update, I dont mind supporting them so free loaders can enjoy the content as well and we can continue to see support for this game well into the future

Hopefully the Corvette Swarm strategy will finally be ironed out. It sucked having all these awesome ship classes only to find out that a swarm of a thousand of the tiniest ships available with no weapon upgrades or armor was the single best strategy for anything.

I'm looking forward to it. We're getting a lot of cool stuff.
Also, way back when, just after Utopia, they did a Twitter poll on what the next major patch/expansion should focus on, between War, Diplomacy, and Body Pillows. War won. Perhaps Diplomacy is next? Body pillows though...

Both the Cherryh patch and Apocalypse expansion are out.

You've got Cherryh though!
My first 2.0 game is still in its early stages. I border some marauders and Hegemonic Imperialists(they're Egalitarians like my Paxalus though, so relations aren't bad. Yet.) The entire sector is infested with amoebas, which complicates the building of good borders. I've lost two scientists to aforementioned marauders and the Dimensional Horror. I'm going to have Destroyers soon though, so that should take care of the amoeba problem. Haven't met anyone else yet, but the new border system leaves me constantly torn on where to build outposts.
