So you agree with closing the borders and getting gangbangers in prison? Both groups kill more kids than mass shooters.

Probably more like

When the teachers went on limited strike action at my school some students went to protest in support of them. It was just a small minority who wanted to skip class.

Good. A protest like this without consequences won't go anywhere. If you just walkout of school and nothing happens then everyone forgets about it, if you have to suspend hundreds of kids per school, and thousands across the nation, that's when change will occur. Civil rights leaders did things that got them in trouble and that is largely what brought so much attention tot he movement. I'm a teacher myself and a few kids asked me if I would mark them cut if they left class for the protest, I said absolutely, but I wholeheartedly support that they are standing up for what they believe in.

This. In real life protests have consequences, thats the whole reason theyre protesting, because they are challenging the unjust status quo so they should expect negative repercussions for challenging it. If anything the school is teaching them a valuable lesson in political activism, well done again Texas

Don't give me that shit, if they really did care they wouldn't miss class for this. Doing this only punishes them from being educated and hurt the school staff financially. When protesting one makes a sacrifice these kids are just going to go home play games or do something fun with their time. The only effort they would put into it is just spam a Facebook/social media message to all their friends who also skipped school.

They can do several things to send a message and have their voices heard, if you're serious about this discussion respond when you have time and I will list them when I'm able too.

Rhodes has been at the center of legal disputes before.

In 2008, a decision he made to forbid a Native American kindergarten student from wearing long hair was ruled to be a violation of the childs right to religious freedom twice, by federal district and appeals courts
