i have a hard time choosing between those albums but the later albums are also pretty good, a matter of life and death is amazing and so was dance of death

i havent really listened to them but i figure they are still good, i just imagine nobody would say that they're better than prime iron maiden

I think Powerslave is the most overrated. Not because of the content though. Most of the songs are really strong. But Im not a big fan of the production. I dont really like the guitar sound

The Final Frontier and A Matter of Life and Death are, in essence, prime Maiden that just happened to come out twenty years later.

Honestly, as long as Blaze isn't involved, I don't think there are any "bad" albums. They've always been very consistent, to the point where you might not care for the sound of the album(Somewhere in Time's synths, or A Matter of Life and Death's intentional unpolished sound), but you can't really say any album is "bad", as long as Bruce is singing.

hmmm ill check those albums out

for me, what makes iron maiden is bruce dickinson + steve harris on the bass, they're kind of like RHCP or something where i feel they are very bass-led
