Jim Lee probably wanted wildcats to be as big as the X-Men but it never happened

spawn was the only one to really get any mainstream recognition(HBO TV Series a movie several video games and a guest appearance in the xbox version of soul caliber 2)

oh yes that...ya know it's funny how image had cartoons in it's dark period where everything was edgy but once it got better

the only shows it got were the walking dead and outcast both live action shows

I think outcast got canned...

it's all on what the creators want to do though that's the thing(that's why image is never mentioned in the credits for the walking dead)

but I would love a moonstruck animated series because well that artstyle just screams "make me into a cartoon!"

besides wacky magical misadventures of a werewolf barista her wolfy girlfriend and centaur best bud in a world like our own shared by humans and monsters could work on cartoon network

I've read moonstruck. I honestly don't think it would fit an animated series as well as some of their other properties. The art style fits, but I don't think the story would fit very well.

there's a lot of animated shows out there that really don't have much going on

such as mister pickles and Mysticons which is basically nickelodeon's rip off of the animated series W.I.T.C.H.

if it's because there's not much action going or there isn't much of an internal point or conflict to the series

uh, what? Have you read the series yet? It is only 5 books in and there is plenty of conflict and a decent amount of action. I just don't see an audience for it though. It is too cartoony to find a strong following among adults and too focused on feelings and mental states to find a strong interest among kids. You can probably spin off a series like it based on some of it's characters, but furning the series so far into one? I don't see it.

I do understand what you mean though but maybe they could tone down some elements and make them subtle like how steven universe gets away with it's messages by being subtle in it's own way

I watched Spawn and The Maxx. I actually got The Maxx DVD set for $10 a few months ago... I still want its partner, The Head, but it won't drop that heavily and I'm being cheap.

A mini series is just a pilot. They have a good foundation and room to grow and explore.

Like I said you can probably make a series based on the characters or set up, but I don't think the series aso far will work. It reads like a comic book, not like a cartoon.

There is a difference between making some adjustments to fit a new medium and changing the entire tone of the story. The kind of change you are talking about changes it from a character driven comic to a zany action adventure. You are basically saying to treat it like netflix treated reboot or death note or how hollywood treated dragonball or the last air bender.

i was hoping it would find a steven universe like audience and while that show can get into some zany places it's also character driven in it's own ways

honestly it just weirds me out that after the 90's we never got another cartoon based off an image series

You'd think some books would be perfect for it and since the creators of the books own the rights to the characters and everything related to them

why wouldn't someone try and take the plunge?
