This isn't saying "have you shaved your head". Just refer to what hair you CAN grow.

I noticed about 4 years ago that my hair had crept back about an inch at the temples and that I might have had a little thinning on my crown (either that or a cowlick).

I've been paranoid lately that the thinning at the crown is worsening (or, again, just an awkward cowlick), but I've compared with photos from 2014 and it doesn't seem like much has changed, if anything. I'm probably fine.

Nope. Thankfully. Then again my dad isn't yet and he's 63 so it's no surprise.

Just cuz your dad isn't bald doesn't mean you are immune.

If it really bothers you, the time to act is as soon as possible. There's no cure, only preventable measures, so the earlier you start, the better off you'll be.

It's definitely thinning. But then I never had any delusions about getting to keep all of my hair, given that none of my recent male ancestors did.

Thankfully, no, since balding doesn't run in our family, but premature graying does (found my first gray hair when I was just 32, and now nine years later, most of my hair is gray, so I keep it short as that helps to hide the gray).

I'm not interested in taking medications or Rogaine or anything just to prolong the inevitable. As soon as I'm noticeably balding, I'm taking a razor to it. I would look okay as a totally bald guy as long as I continue exercising and maintain a beard.

Women's hair tends to thin over time as they age too. But mine isn't there yet. Still full, waist-length locks. But then again, I put in a lot of effort to keep it well-taken care of.

Hair killers include impure water and stress.

I'm a woman, I've suffered with bouts of the autoimmune disorder alopecia areata since I was a child. The worse time was I lost all the hair on the left side. I haven't had any noticeable spots in a few years and they are usually small.

Don't you get the gene from your mom's side? My hair is about the same as it always has been, but my dad has had a moderately receding hairline since his mid twenties. My cousin on my dad's side is totally bald (he's my dad's sister's kid) and quite a bit younger than me.

I don't really know anything about this stuff though, I do know you're supposed to age like your mother's father and was guessing about the baldness part being included...

Nope, but I recently saw one of my cousin's friends who I didn't recognize because, despite being in his early 20s, he's bald across the top of his head.

My family has no history of baldness afaik, so I'd be a trendsetter if it happened.

I had a friend who's hair started to gray/grey around his early 20's. So, at least is wasn't that early for you.
