Are journalists really still clinging to the first ammendent?
They just had the post office and carriages back then. They didn't even have the internet or phones.

That law is called the Constitution, its the foundation and heart of our country. There are plenty of countries in the world with a gun ban and socialism (things liberals love). If you find that kind of living more preferable, fine, relocate. Don't expect our society to change to suit YOUR beliefs.

Liberals say the Constitution is an outdated piece of paper but hypocritically cry "muh free speech" when someone doesn't agree with them. That "piece of paper" is the very thing that allows them to be the arrogant assholes they are. Fine, if they want to take our guns, we get to take their freedom of speech. Seems like a fair trade.

Yes, the amendments are the rights that we have as citizens of this country. I assume that the word, to you, entails making changes or "amendments". If you want to "amend" i.e. "change" the 2nd Amendment to take away our right to bear arms, then hell, we should "amend" i.e. "change" the first amendment so that every time you liberals spew your toxicity, you could be fined or thrown in prison for it. I bet that "piece of paper" would suddenly look real good after that.

Reminder: Everything in the constitution has a mechanism that allows it be changed based on the will of the people who live under it's rule. That's how things like prohibition happened and unhappened. That's how things happened like slaves in the southbeing counted as 3/5s of a person and the later slavery became prohibited.

It's a very fucking simple question lol

An amendment is change to the Constitution that can either add or repeal the government's authority (such as the 16th amendment adding the right for the government to tax income), limitation (the Bill of Rights), procedure (17th amendment making Senators chosen by popular election rather than state legislature), or even repeal an existing amendment (21st repealed 18th amendment which prohibited alcohol). Creating an amendment requires the approval of 2/3rds of both houses of Congress and ratification by 3/4ths of the states (meaning 38 states currently).

If you think you are so confident that you can make both houses of Congress and 38 states create an amendment that repeals the 2nd amendment, then I dare you to try.
