How effective are patches? About as effective as a freezer is to keep you warm. The thing that's working for me to stop smoking cigs is vaping. I still get my nicotine fix(something I'll lower over time), it's inexpensive to do and for me it's more satisfying. I've actually saved money due to not buying smokes too and I'm probably better on the inside. I'd recommend folk try vaping if they want to quit rather than these patches or any other expensive gimmick. --- One who knows nothing can understand nothing. http://psnprofiles.com/wwinterj - http://i.imgur.com/kDysIcd.gif ... I was told I can't smoke or vape after because of the suction Yeah that's a standard thing when you have teeth out as it could disrupt the clot and hinder healing. Admittedly I took that risk and was smoking at the time. While I never smoked myself, I can repeat what my grandfather and father both said about quitting.

wwinterj25 posted...Muscles posted...It's something I considered, but I can't vape after I get my wisdom teeth out Ya, dry socket is something you want to avoid at all costs. Use the patch, it's better* for you anyways *A large portion of the harm from smoking is the inhalation of a particulate, not what that particulate is - even if you vaped water you're at equal risk from many forms of lung damage. --- "Salt cures Everything!" I used vaping to help me, but the important thing was stopping vaping after the withdrawal symptoms were gone. True that. The idea is to use less and less nicotine in your liquid and eventually get down to 0mg and by that point you won't even feel the need to vape unless you want to do it for the taste for some reason. I'm not vaping to quit smoking though. I'm just doing it as a better alternative. --- One who knows nothing can understand nothing. http://psnprofiles.com/wwinterj - http://i.imgur.com/kDysIcd.gif ... Copied to Clipboard!

I mean in the context of getting your wisdom teeth out Fair enough. It would cut out the suction part. It'll probably still make you want to smoke though.
