Comments below.

Rolling Girls: Haven't really seen anything about it before. It just looks like a fun action show.

Prisma Illya: Watched the first and second seasons a couple weeks ago. It's not anything spectacular or anything. It's just not that bad. I do enjoy the rare action sequences in it though.

Kara no Kyoukai: I tried to get into it a couple times now, but I have a lot of trouble getting through the beginning.

A Certain Scientific Railgun: Watched all of the first season a couple years ago. It didn't really stick out to me in that time, so I didn't really bother continuing. If you guys are voting for this one, should I rewatch the first season or just skip right to the second season?

Eureka Seven: I've tried a couple times, but I just can't get through the first episode. It just feels like such a typical boring shonen anime. Does it get better?

Hibike! Euphonium: I'll likely like this one. I keep putting off watching it for some reason.

Darker Than Black: I kind of got bored halfway through last time I tried to watch it and dropped it. I don't know if I should give it a second try.

Chuunibyou: I can't remember why or when I dropped it, but I did. It was a long while ago though, so I'll definitely have to start from the beginning even though I may have watched the entire first season.

Non Non Biyori: It looks pretty cute and peaceful. Haven't really seen anything about it though.

Hanayamata: Same as above.

---

So with all that, which do you guys think I should I watch? Not really sure what I'm in the mood for at the moment, so whatever works.

That's why they're on my list. Unfortunately, they're also really hard to watch, or you need to be in the right mood.

Ya, right mood is a good ... mood?

There was some samurai or ninja show I was watching that I liked, don't remember which one it was - I watched it after Basilisk, I think it was Norigami or something like that... that's an anime that needs the right mood

Darker than Black's season 1 is personally one of my favorites. Who doesn't love some Chinese electric Batman?

If you're anything like me you like to rewatch a series before it's next season is released, so honestly rather than just railgun I'd say watch index too, especially considering S3 is apparently confirmed.

Out of that list, the only thing I'm interested in watching is Prisma Illya although a lot of that is the novelty associated with the spinoff.

It's not *that* typical of Shonen anime iirc, but it's generally boring. It doesn't really pick up much until... maybe right around when they add Anemone.

Yeah, it's just that most of the time it was just investigating (or at least in the first 7 or so episodes that I watched) with very little of the action that you would expect from a "Chinese Electric Batman". Nothing wrong with that, you just need to be in the mood for an intrigue show to watch that rather than an action show.

Index I suppose is an option too.

Eh. Doesn't really seem like the type of show that is good on a rewatch. The mystery added a lot to the show, I think.

Yeah, and to be honest, I don't even really like the Fate series, so that novelty is lost on me.

When does Anemone get added in Eureka Seven? I don't recall the show being that boring, but as I said, I couldn't really get past the first episode. I might have managed once, but would have certainly stopped midway through the second if I did.

Hm. That's pretty hard to say. In no particular order, I'd say Gurren Lagann, Clannad, Angel Beats, March Comes in Like a Lion, and Toradora! are my top 5.

Probably. I find it really hard to justify actual rankings. I like a lot of stuff though. ReZero, My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, Mushishi, No Game No Life, and Steins;Gate are some other great shows just off the top of my head.

I only watched two of the ones you have mentioned, Eureka 7 and Darker than black. I would probably choose darker than black.

If you want something light and funny, I recommend Baka and Test. Just finished the first season and it made me laugh.

I also really like D-gray Man, another favorite.

Eureka Seven is boring, it gets bloody and intentionally tries to be disturbing, but I don't think that by itself makes an anime interesting.

Anyway I vote Prisma Illya and Railgun.

Yeah, Mushishi is just so peaceful. Except for when it's not.

Bakemonogatari took me at least 4 tries to get into it. I managed to get into it fairly recently though, and now I can say I really quite enjoy it. Still need to finish it though. Just finished Owarimonogatari and will be moving onto the next one soon.

Kara no Kyoukai is indeed confusing as that the movies are not in chronological order.
It requires some thinking and putting a puzzle together as you watch them.
However, it is on a different league than the other animes you mention; this one is actually good.
It is from Type-Moon and the story is a part of the Nasuverse but this also means it is meant for adults rather than kids. The story is more dark and mature packed with action whereas most of the other animes in the poll are cheerful-types.

It occurs to me that I should have asked if the dub on any of them was worth watching. I generally default to subs, but I still recognize that there is the odd show out there where the dub is good or even better than the sub.

Anyways, I'm currently on episode 11 of Eureka Seven. It's not that great, but it is slowly getting better from the start. I wish it would get better a bit fast though. I might stop watching it for a while and switch to something else.
