But sure, let's dismiss this because Hillary tweeted about it

Just so we're clear:
The Department of Homeland Security denied the report, a spokesman calling it "factually inaccurate and misleading" in a statement.

NBC, citing unnamed U.S. officials, said that top-secret intelligence requested by President Barack Obama in his last weeks in office synthesized months of work and made the conclusions.

But honestly I thought you were gonna talk about their new missile:

Honestly? Because continued escalation won't actually make things better. This is true for sanctions relating to their meddling, and also true for Trump's blustering about modernizing our nuke arsenal. What is the desired outcome of sanctions? Squeezing their economy will make them bolder internationally, and won't actually deter them from doing this kind of crap again.

BTW, I believe Trump should implement the sanctions because Congress voted and approved them, so this isn't a "defend trump" post. It's more a "sanctions in this instance are a shortsighted reactionary measure meant to appease your base and not actually fix the problem" post.

Don't be obtuse. NK and Russia are two totally different nations with different priorities, cultural biases, and military capabilities. There is no "one size fits all" response to international actors, and treating Putin and Kim the same in terms of international conflict way is just flat out stupid.

If Hillary just retired and let go of her loss like a true patriot, the Repubs wouldn't have to cling to her so hard. Instead, she undermines the current President with her tweets and her book. Shows she only cares about herself, and not about seeing this country flourish. And if she doesn't want to see the country flourish....did she ever care about it at all? Or only her massive ego and legacy?

Because of the size of their economies, the number of nations they're actively trading with, their relative difference in self-sustainability, their ability to apply soft pressure to other places around the world, and the number of potential allies they could reach out to.

Come on, Buffalo. I'm not being unreasonable here. Are you actually trying to discuss this, or are you just being a shit because you're bored?

It's because you can't demonize your political opponents over China. The vast majority of people only really care about Russia because it lets them stick it to Trump.

I stand by my statement. Thus far they've been formally tagged with buying facebook ads and getting access to voter registries in a few states. That's it. Most of the drama has been around possible collusion narratives.
