I'm wondering why developers are always in such a heat to add online play to their newest games. Some fans demand it, some financial backers think it is a requirement. So you have a lot of otherwise good games whose single-player experience is dumbed down in order to provide for MMO plots. But take a look at today's poll... it proves what I've understood for a long time: Over 82% rarely or never play online! Granted, some games play better online; some don't play at all without connections... but the best games, in my experience and opinion based on 45 years of video gaming, is that a good single-player story, good action, and a good challenge beats any online experience. Let the developers chew on those figures, from the gaming community itself.

I'm not quite sure that these polls are accurate representations of the gaming community as a whole.
