I didn't think the battles were too slow on the 3ds.
for me it's like.. 8 1 3 4 6 5 7 9 2 oh, and I played an hour and some of the 3DS version of 11. it made me want the ps4 version because I thought the 2d/3d gimmick doesn't work and I don't have a strong affinity to DQ to be 2d. when that comes I'll get it on ps4 for sure -- or switch if that is day 1 and isn't compromised. --- add the c and back away iphonesience ... 9 does what I like about Dragon Quest games worse than other Dragon Quest games, or just straight up takes specific story elements from other DQ games, and I think the game is weaker for it. but I still like it quite a bit. it's the quintessential casual mobile game. it doesn't require much out of you. it was something I'd pluck away at for months at a time, doing co-op and exploring new dungeons, all in familiar DQ trappings.
still, it's pretty low on my own personal list. 5 > 4 > 7 > 8 > 3 > 6 > 9 > 2 > 1 --- ICON: Kiwami means extreme. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I've gotta catch up on my comments!
Mega Man 2 is a top ten game on my list, good choice. I don't feel I need to add anything regarding this game. Earthbound is pretty good, but Mother 3 is better! Mother 3 would be a top ten game on my list. Sorry, Earthbound Zelda: LTTP is also good! Would you believe that I also call this a top ten game? Also, uh, you and Kleenex did dungeon speedruns and I missed out on this whole time period? Dang, I would've had a blast getting in on this! I played Dragon Quest V for the first time a couple years ago, and I do believe it was my favorite in the series. I don't remember too many specifics about best parts or anything, but it hit the good points for me. (not something I'd put in top ten though, sorry) --- ONLY FIVE CAN LADDER. 2 | Super Mario 64 (N64)
Now were playing with power! When I think about the major video game landmarks in my life, theyre almost always marked by a significant Mario release. Super Mario Bros. was my first game, Mario World blew me away as the pinnacle of 2D games, and then there was Mario 64. The game that changed the game; the blueprint for the third-dimension, a true revolution. Mario 64 was the moment that Mario games stopped being pure platformers, and started adventuring into the brave new world of, well, adventure. Part of what makes Mario 64 so great is how you arent just running right to left, jumping on goombas, but are exploring and solving puzzles based around Marios abilities. There are many stars in this world, but where are they? How are you going to use your abilities to reach them? How are you going to deal with familiar foes in a third dimension? If Im honest, this was about the last point where I felt like gaming had truly gone into uncharted territory, into a place where the rules as I knew them were twisted and backward and wrong and foreign. It was exciting and fresh and new and it was MARIO! Its such a distinct memory in my mind of playing Mario 64 for the first time, running through these levels in 1996, no more than a year after freakin Donkey Kong Country released. What a change. But you know what? Mario 64 is about as much fun today as it was back then. It may be more rudimentary, more simple and less shocking, but the joy of run, jump and play is still as present here as it has always been. Mario games have a unique quality to them, a certain special sauce that no other series has, in that you never really feel that youre playing a game that is a product of its time, you know? They feel ageless. There may be remnants of visual degradation, but you can pick them up now and they still hold so true to how they alway did. (OK, maybe the C-button camera control is about as aged as it gets, but you know, you cant win em all!) Its such a refreshing experience even by Mario standards! Dire Dire Docks is a sound, a mood, a feeling, that will never leave my person. Or the first time the Wing Cap became unlocked, and it was like I was using the Mario cape for real! The idea that I could grab Bowser by his tail and launch him into a bob-omb? Thats still one of the strangely satisfying things to do. I kind of wish I could do it to him in a modern Mario. The again, it could be viewed as a precursor to Mario Partys spin the control stick mini games are some kind of dark arts. Mario 64, to me, has become a sort of influencer into my own quirks and preferences with video games. I demand a certain level of control, precision and feeling in my games that if Im not met with, can led to some mild frustration. How my games control today stems from how effortless and natural it was to control Mario in a 3D space. Its why Mario Odyssey is such a big deal to me, a sort of reunion and expansion of perfect 3D controls. I guess it could also be that its fun. Except Penguin Racing. Or maybe because of penguin racing. Do you know how many times I raced that penguin? ... Copied to Clipboard!

Also, since you have Mario 64 this high...
