Episode 10 really cements the legacy of the series. It hit like a freight train.

Only a few hours after it aired, the earthquake happened. Japan was devastated in a way not too dissimilar from the imagery shown towards the end of 10. I have no doubt in my mind it would've been redone or gotten the Coppelion treatment if it aired after.

The wait was difficult. Fans had over a month to mourn the loss of life and reflect on the anime before 11 and 12 aired. I wouldn't call it a rebirth or healing anime at the time, but everyone really needed Madoka's godlike salvation at that point.

Unpopular opinion: I was much more satisfied with the ending of the show than I was with the ending of Rebellion. If we never get more Madoka Magica, I kind of wish Id just left it at the show and never watched the movie.

I still think TC should watch Rebellion though. Its part of the experience.

That seems like a not uncommon opinion, actually. People seemed pretty divided on the movie when I was looking up whether it was worth checking out.

No. Honestly, just skip it unless they made more of the series. The end of the anime is really the best stopping point.
