I don't mind gatcha games. At most I'll buy the $5 for a month of daily premium currency. But I'd also prefer if the game had a good way of making premium currency in game through quests/milestones, etc

I'm terrible at tactics games so fire emblem heroes might not be for me lol

Bonus points if the game just recently came out

I really strongly recommend King's Raid.

It's a bit more involved then a lot of mobile games but the best thing about it is they never actually get out of the giving you free stuff phase.

Most mobile games I have played start to cut you off at end game, this one actually gives you more the further you are into it. It's Gatcha with character weapons only, but there are multiple ways to actually get them in game just by playing over the course of a month so even if your luck is terrible there is nothing you can't get if you just log in daily and do normal stuff.

Every character can be unlocked by just logging in every day and doing normal stuff. I honestly can't think of a more fair mobile game. I do recommend buying the daily ruby packs as they really do make the game a lot quicker, but over all isn't necessary and only do it if you end up liking it.

Oh, and also there is no such thing as a useless character, everyone is valid to use in some content, some are better than others at certain things, but every character can reach the same amount of stars and power despite having very different move sets.

Almost A Hero.

Most mobile games get boring after a week but I've been playing Almost A Hero for over a month. This is a great time to start playing because its nearly been out for a year and they're about to start a special anniversary event with their next update.

All the rewards can be done via quests so you don't have to spend money on premium gems unless you really want to. I've spent $5 before but it was only because I wanted to support the developers.
