I think the angle that Westbrook won because of triple doubles is a false narrative. yeah he got triple doubles but he was also really good and had multiple game winners and everything. it's not just because he hit 10/10/10.

Yeah, Magic can't even tank right. That's second year in a row we have done that shit. Dropping from joint 3rd to 5th is a hefty drop. I just dont get why we do this to ourselves. Why actively tank for months and then fucking play starters for lengthy minutes in the final game when it makes a big difference in draft odds

gsw is safe in R1 since SAS doesn't have any firepower, but they're ripe for the picking in R2 and R3 if utah or OKC wins (i don't think portland can do it).

derozan has really reverted back in 2016-17 status. his 3 point shooting feels like a mirage.

I bet the chalk is Cleveland > Toronto and Philly > Boston, though I wouldn't count Boston out with how gutty they can be

in the west, I think NO loses easy, but the 3/6 matchup could be interesting. I think I'd pick against the Thunder but you never know what team is going to show up. if Utah is the 3, I might take them over GS if Curry isn't back or 100%. Golden State has been really terrible lately.

Bucks drew rather nicely. The finals for the East will essentially take place a round prior when Toronto plays Cleveland. That gives Milwaukee a still unlikely but at least somewhat plausible chance of reaching the Eastern finals. Though Philly is the clear favorite of the bottom half.

Based on how Philly and TOR have been playing, either the East won't be decided til Cleveland/Philadelphia, or it's already decided without any games being played (Cleveland is a massive favorite).

I think Milwaukee's lack of shooting will strangle them. Celtics will pack the paint and make Middleton uncomfortable. Giannis won't win 4 games alone with two defenders living in the paint..

It's impossible to figure out what the exact problem is here because Kawhi never talks. I think the fact that he's so quiet is a big reason we assumed he'd be the model Spur.

I also don't think you can discount the fact that this is the first time the Spurs have had any sort of public controversy since the Robinson and Duncan eras. Those guys were stabilizers.
