They are making the mental health argument. They are trying to claim that it isn't the gun that is the problem, but the repetitive violent actions that leads to Violent people. That is why they will make claims like owning a gun is fine, but simulated murder is not. Because the gun itself doesn't turn people into murderers, but killing people all the time in games does. To quote Westworld, these violent Delights have violent ends. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. I suspect it is, because targets don't react like people in games do. They argue it's the desensitization of killing virtual people that run, scream, bleed, and die leaving corpses behind that makes it easier to be a mass murderer. Shooting a static target makes you a better shot but doesn't make you used to murder. Countering their argument with the hunting example would actually be the more effective argument bit they could argue volume matters more. You can kill more people in an hour in GTA than most hunters will kill animals in a lifetime. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz. If mental health is the real issue here, why do Republicans always try to make getting healthcare harder and more expensive? Also, what happened to free speech and the first amendment? Guess that doesn't count here either.
We have a corporation and their bought politicians trying to keep the profits up for their partners (gun manufacturers) and rubes continue to go along with it. I wonder how much stock big-wig NRA members have in various gun manufacturers. Probably a lot. --- http://i.imgur.com/hslUvRN.jpg When I sin I sin real good. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's interesting to watch some people so against regulating videogames but are all for blaming firearms, using the same arguments they sometimes stand against. Things like "It's the person that's violent already, videogames didn't make him evil," which is the same argument pro gun advocates make. It's the person, not the (inanimate object).
Not saying anyone in this topic is doing it, but it's something I've noticed. --- http://i.imgtc.com/tUK3LwiHnb.jpg 4/15/1951 - 3/18/2014 "But not forgotten." ... Copied to Clipboard!
