Marle has no damage to speak of though so once you haste a character you're kinda stuck. ice2 isn't gonna hang with the flares of the world and there are so many accessories that either cut down mp cost significantly or just give you haste (often from the armor slot). I don't value endgame Marle at all. she is halfway useful for things like aura whirl early on but you're not any worse off using Robo's heal and he can actually hit back. I'll take Frog's crits over that -- slightly.

ah, i read aye as "aye-aye, matey" - i think "ey" is probably the best way to indicate long A

though i've always gone eye-la anyway

Well, once Marle has hasted the other two units you've doubled their offence, so it doesn't matter how bad her own is! At worst she can heal. Your best two offences doubled + Marle > your best three offences.

Frog's crits are worthless the moment he gets Leap Slash (and more to the point, as I said, everyone gets techs which deal crit-level damage or better).

I like the Magus stuff and I like how Frog weaves into it and the different directions you can take that.

600 > 1000 > 12000 > 65000000 > 2300

I appreciate 2300 AD but I feel like the game really shines every where else.

Great cast of characters, though! I think they're all pretty unforgettable, and CT tends to be easy enough that you don't have to worry about who deals more damage, or has the "best" techs, in order to take out anyone in the game, so you can just roll with your favorites.
