Iirc he's a self-taught singer...in the vein of Ozzy Osbourne. Considering how confident he is on GNR's first album, I always find that fairly impressive. Wouldn't have guessed it.

unless you actually went to one of the early 90s GNR concerts where he stood you up, you can't be mad at him now. I saw GnR 2 years ago on their comeback tour and it was amazing. His voice isn't quite as good but he still brought his A game and busted his ass on stage for 2 hours.
