Work has been pretty slow lately. There were a number of layoffs last year, and even with less staff, there hasn't been enough work to go around.
My boss just scheduled a last minute 1-on-1 meeting with me for Monday. The last time he scheduled last minute meetings with staff members, they all got laid off during their meetings. Things don't look too good for me right now. It's the most money I've ever earned at any job so it will suck losing it. It seems weird to get laid off on a monday. I've been laid off 2 times over the years and both times it happened at the end of the week.
