I loved it when I was a kid but can't really watch it now. I don't really like any of the Batman movies, though.

Yes.

It's my most-watched movie based off of a comic book. I feel like I could watch it twice a year and never get tired of it. Michael Keaton is my favorite live action Batman by far.

I know the production values aren't as great as the Nolan films, but I still found the tone and overall direction more enjoyable. The protagonist is more human, the environment is more fun, and it's just overall more toward what I like to see in a superhero story. I don't care for brooding fiction which pretends to be something it's not. I like superheroes who act like superheroes.

It's not bad, but tonally it feels all over the place.

I know I probably in a minority, but I actually prefer Returns.

Love it. It's my favorite Batman movie. Keaton is my favorite Batman and Jack is my favorite Joker. I miss when the Joker was a clown.

The Nolan movies have lost their luster with me over time. I can watch Batman 89 any time.

I don't like Keaton as Batman. I find him too goofy. I dislike him even more as Bruce Wayne for the same reason.

With that said, I really like Batman Returns but that's because the villains were handled really well. I generally don't enjoy The Penguin but loved him in this. Catwoman in Returns really works as well.

I really don't like Tim Burton tbh.

I kinda liked a few things the film did anyway but not enough to like the film overall in spite of the director.

There is chemistry between Keaton and Pfeiffer that was missing in the first movie and they have more to work with on the script level. Great stuff.

You ever seen Ed Wood? It's really funny and charming and my favorite of his. Burton usually leaves a lot to be desired but he killed it with Ed Wood.

Yes, I liked it growing up. I doubt it has aged great, but it still had a lot of good points about it. I probably prefer Nolan's trilogy as a whole and as a vision of Batman, but I feel like both Nolan and Burton nailed the atmosphere of Batman and are just sort of two different interpretations of the comic-verse.

Yes. Though nowadays when I watch it, I really don't see Joker anymore. I just see Jack Nicholson in white makeup. That's how he laughs in all of his movies.

Another thing is in both Burton films, the villains had more focus that the titular character himself.

To me the Burton batman is the batman archetype, with his all black suit, the yellow & black logo, etc. I don't like the fact that apparently it's made of rubber, but I like the rubber look (it's not like the story is realistic at all, so why not say that rubber-looking thing is actually bulletproof or whatever?). The Burton batmobile is also my batmobile archetype.

Overall, though, the Nolan Batman is a better Batman, and Christian Bale is a much better Bruce Wayne, I never liked Burton as Wayne.
