What am I going to do? I assume this also applies to renewing ads, which you previously could do every 48 hours. Not very feasible to spend like $100/month posting ads.

I find like 99% of my models through there. What am I supposed to do? Seems like my options are either to pay the money, go back to ModelMayhem (which hardly anyone uses anymore), or randomly find people through Instagram, which is a crapshoot.

Does your community have Nextdoor? That's gaining popularity in my community, and it has an ad section. I recently sold a piece of furniture--easy peasy. And it's all local, but IIRC I was able to select how wide I wanted the ad to go (how far into neighboring communities).

Men were asking around CL for pregnant women and seeing if any of them wanted to make a couple hundred bucks by letting them eat shrooms while they look at her birthing canal give birth

It wasn't a chick that was knocked up offering to pay these men to do it

On the plus side it should be easier to gain visibility since there's only a small fraction of the ads on there before. But if it's something really niche that you didn't have much competition for anyway then yeah, it's bullshit all around.

I had a look at the sections I usually frequent and did the math. A person would only have to spend about 50 a month to stay visible, if even that, which isn't too bad if the additional visibility leads to more business.
