John Cena is part of the voice cast of the animals for Robert Downey Jr.s latest film, The Voyage Of Doctor Doolittle. Downey posted to Instagram on Tuesday announcing the voice cast for the film, which will feature Cena as a polar bear named Yoshi. You can see the post below.

The live action/animation hybrid film also features the voices of Emma Thompson as Polynesia the parrot, Selena Gomez as Betsy the giraffe, Tom Holland as Jip the dog, and Ralph Fiennes as Barry the tiger, Rami Malek as Chee-Chee the gorilla, Octavia Spencer as Dab-Dab the duck, Kumail Nanjiani as Plimpton the ostrich, John Cena as Yoshi the Polar Bear, Marion Cotillard as Tutu the fox, Carmen Ejogo as Regine the Lioness, Craig Robinson as Fleming the mouse, and Frances de la Tour as Ginko-Who-Soars.

Downey Jr. plays the titular doctor in the film, which also stars Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen. Stephen Gaghan (Gold, Syriana) directs from a script he rewrote from Tom Sheppards draft. Production begins later this month in London, with an April 12th, 2019 release date.

But just wait until AJ Styles gets 5 stars for his performance in a Cameron Crowe movie and Dave Meltzer says it's the best wrestler performance in a movie. Then the next year, Kenny Omega voices a character in a Miyazaki film and Meltzer gives it 6 stars because it was made in Japan.

And believe it or not, Duke Nukem is in Ready Player One as well. If you google that you can see the blurry Duke from the trailer of that movie, same scene with Freddy Kreuger etc.

It's a big element of it for sure, though Duke 3D has a lot of genuine tension and atmosphere as well. While games like Planet of the Babes and DNF goes full humor and Leisure Suit Larry with the ladies aspect etc.

On tone, there are a lot of different ways to go, more than just comedy/satire versus drama. Take Deadpool, that movie has a lot of humor and zaniness, but can be taken entirely seriously when need be.

I guess I'd liken an ideal Duke Nukem movie to kind of like Deadpool in tone. The character is eccentric and makes a joke of everything, but does take some things seriously (such as saving the Earth from alien bastards, and especially saving our women!).

I wouldn't be surprised if Deadpool's big box office has an influence on a lot of movies, especially if this movie gets to be Rated R.

I really hope they get a clever screenwriter for this.

The movie REALLY should be about Duke as an aging hero who can no longer find his place in the era of SJWs. The heroes now are people who check others' privilege and find rescuing women to be a form of microaggression. But when those SJWs are held hostage by an alien race that has been waiting for humans to become this weak... there is only one man who can stop them: THE DUKE.
