Existed in Dual Destinies just for the sake of plot (case 5) rather than character and in Spirit of Justice the writers have absolutely no fucking clue what to do with her. They give her the one case that has absolutely nothing to do with the story of the game and then give her a much stronger character as a sidekick to rely on (cause she's worthless). It's absolutely cringy in the DLC case where they try to make her worthlessness to the game/franchise into an in-universe running joke.

She's a generic trash anime klutz girl, her gimmicks are filthy trash, her appearance is completely overdesigned, she has no courtroom presence and in general she just feels like an unnecessary character who exists cause Capcom felt the series needed broader appeal. Kill her off and make Juniper a recurring character instead.

better yet capcom should seppuku and let EA run their business,since even EA is the lesser evil in comparison.

I enjoyed DD

6-4 was unnecessary but it was fun to see Blackquill at the defense table


Mood Matrix is WAAAAAAAY better than Seance in SoJ, and better than Post-AJ Perceive (since they stripped the soul of the gimmick and made it magatama-lite)

But yeah, as an independent character Athena is kind of generic. But remember Apollo had that issue too. In AJ he was just a dude who went into law for the money and is awkwardly there for the ride with Phoenix and his sister. We didn't see him really be his own guy til his edgy phase in DD and confronting his past in SoJ. So I think Athena has a chance.

Yeah, definitely. They made Apollo own and Nick is Nick, so it's still good. Hopefully they make her not-worthless in the next game.

Apollo was underdeveloped in his own game, but he still had a fun personality. There were tools in place to work with.

Athena is literally nothing.

Even by MC standard Athena is trash that should be compacted into a tiny square of flesh and bones.

Honestly, Phoenix is overplayed too. I just want the Justice Law Offices, really.

Edgeworth is awesome in AAI2.
Phoenix has more character in AA vs Layton too (which is why I like it so much)

True. and tbh Phoenix is kind of the NPC at times in vs Layton too (though it becomes an NPC revolving door in DD and SoJ)
