There are asking hella questions, such as:
What would you do if your cat develops a problem with urinating outside the litterbox?

Hmmm...I'd pee in the litterbox to show them how it's done!

boom, i'm definitely gonna ace this kitty quiz

Adoption... Survey? Sounds like a good way to make sure people don't want to adopt cats

I'm a big fan of an adoption fee though, otherwise asshole get pets. Even a small fee deters weirdos and bad people

One of my friends used to work at the Lincoln Park one! I'm going to try them first because they charge $25 for adult cat adoptions. Figured getting an older cat would be the way to go since I've never owned a cat before.

Bro, I think this place might >_> They have positive Google reviews for the most part, but the negative ones talk about how seriously they take the adoption process and left a bad taste in their mouth.

Failed the kitty quiz? Personally, I'm not a fan of the kitty quiz. Never had to take one. And I don't think the shelter makes us take one. I'd probably fail, anyway... I have thought about getting a cat, but I have 2 dogs already. So, I'd probably wait until I moved to a bigger house. I think it you can fill out all the paperwork, pay the adoption fee, and seem like a decent person who can give the kitty love, you get a cat.

Folks have asked if/when I'll get a girlfriend and my usual reply is I plan to be a crazy cat man. I do wonder if adoption centers frown upon having too many pets.

Cats need to scratch so a scratching post is a must unless you want you other stuff messed up. Boxes and towels or blankets are usually sufficient for other furniture. Some of my cats have loved cat beds.

RC for the litter box I'd recommend doing a little DIY with real furniture and turning something like a small cabinet into a litter area (you make a door for the cat in a side). When I move to an apartment with no out of the way areas for a litter box I'm going to be modifying IKEA furniture to be cat box houses. Should be relatively inexpensive and will blend in with the other IKEA shit everywhere

for cat scratching posts, i've had very good success with just those corrugated cardboard ones.

i've never seen a cat use a proper scratching post before, especially my cat.

but i got one of these https://www.walmart.com/ip/SmartyKat-Super-Scratcher-Single-Wide-Corrugate-Cat-Scratcher-with-Infused-Catnip/10804637

not exact model, mine hangs on a doorknob, but he goes crazy for it. so we got a few more, and like a cat bed made out of it, and the other cats love them, too. they don't have claws though so idk wtf they're doing to it.

but it's fantastic. before he would claw furniture, walls, peoples legs, everything. he was destroying shit. but now he only does it on those things.
