More important shit to worry about than some randos wanting a statue taken down

Go outside, get a job, do something productive

No kidding.

You mean to tell me a topic on a dying gaming message board isnt about something so important that we should worry about it? I wonder what other mindblowing insights he has to share

You mean to tell me that you called your topic shit and are projecting its weakness onto other people? GASP!

So if a topic isnt something serious enough to worry about, its shit? According to your logic I guess practically ever topic here is shit then, which I dont necessarily disagree with personally. do you have any more novel insights such as this sir?

Why on earth would you gloat about Trump being "right"? (Notwithstanding the fact he didn't even write that speech and it was also given as some kind of "defense" to his comments after the Charlottesville incident).

"YEAH they were right that people wouldn't like these guys because they owned other people as property!"

Such an odd stance to take.

For an experiment, I wanted to see if any liberals here would have any sense of integrity to ever acknowledge Trump was right about something, even if a sarcastic hes right for once. But clearly not, not surprising, theres hardly any integrity with partisan hacks

I'd be more than willing to say Trump was "right" about something if he hadn't obviously been reading something that was prepared by somebody else and therefore not his own words.

And again, it makes absolutely no sense to try and gloat over something like that.

How do you know that part of the speech Trump didnt say it in his own words? Its well known he improvises and goes off script a lot right? Do you have evidence that it was just a part of the speech? Or are you just assuming that because its really hard for you to say anything remotely non-negative about Trump? Like I said, Im not gloating, I just wanted to make sort of an experiment and see who some of the partisan hacks here are

It isn't that Trump was right (and he was, no matter how you try to suggest it doesn't count because reasons), it's that liberals had a collective shitfit at the suggestion that this would happen.

Well, it happened, and now you're having a shitfit over gloating.

But liberals told me the right was being absurd when they said Thomas Jefferson or George Washington statues would be next on the liberal agenda

It is absurd, those far left nuts don't represent the left as a whole. I can link you to people on the right who thinks Thomas Jefferson should be wiped from history due to his feels about Christianity. Does that mean everyone on the right hates him for being a deist?

Lol its really quite hilarious how he tried to sideskirt saying Trump was right by pulling out hes not the speech writer card. As if we ever give credit or attribute to the speech writer for something a president says in their speeches. The level of reaching in that post gave me a laugh

A known partisan hack (you) is trying to "out" partisan hacks? That's fucking laughable.

And it's obvious it was part of a pre-written speech because a) it actually made sense from a linguistic standpoint, b) it wasn't even a response to what he was being asked at the moment, and c) when you compare it to his remarks on Steve Bannon during the same press conference it's obvious it didn't come from him.

Here's the Washington/Jefferson part:
Is it George Washington next week and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You have to ask yourself where does it stop? Trump said George Washington was a slave owner. So will George Washington lose his status? Are we gonna take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? Do you like him, because he was a major slave owner. Are we gonna take down his statue?"

And here's the Steve Bannon part:
I like Mr. Bannon, hes a friend of mine. But Mr. Bannon came on very late. I went through 17 senators, governors, and I won all the primaries. Mr. Bannon came on very much later than that, Trump explained. I like him, hes a good man, hes not a racist I can tell you that, hes a good person. He actually gets a very unfair press in that regard. But well see what happens with Mr. Bannon. But hes a good person and I think the press treats him very unfairly.

Like when Trump goes off-course in a speech you get glorious shit like this:

I dont know what that means, a community college, Trump said at one point. Call it vocational and technical. People know what that means. They dont know what a community college means.

Sure, thats why its legal. I can protest against women having the right to vote without legal qualms. Its free speech so I can protest, but the protest itself is about anti free speech towards women, thats what I meant about it being against free speech

Ok, lets say youre right, those werent Trumps words. But the point youre trying to make is asinine nonetheless. I have almost never heard of anyone attribute what a president says to their speech writer. Thats levels of reaching I cant quite fathom, but hey I get it, you cant stand Trump so you take any means to discredit him. Additionally, its very possible the thought was Trumps own, he just needed a writer to articulate that thought with prose, do you have evidence to the contrary?
