He's a lot more useful than the Sakura I got last time while also going for Robin and getting the one I least wanted. I didn't even bother to try again last time because Sakura isn't even good fodder

I find Halloween Sakura pretty useful for Arena and Squad Assault. Specialized mage check is kinda useful and her default skillset and stat spread are sufficient for it.

My one Jakob could probably be better in more situations but he requires actual investment that I don't feel like putting into him.

Jakob's one of the better armours for sure but unless you're giving him credit for arena score BST he's clearly worse than Brave Lyn. He basically needs Bold Fighter to do what Lyn does at base, and then he still has less move, and the extra damage he takes by not ignoring DC + getting doubled on enemy phase makes up for any added durability he has.

I'd say BB in Jakob's hands is a bit different than Brave Lyn's. Assuming neutral, BLyn has 35 base speed, -5 from the BB makes it 30. With let's say Life and Death, that's back to 35 speed. Respectable, but there are units that avoid being quadded from that.

Bold Fighter on the other hand guarantees a quad outside of Bowbreaker/Wary Fighter (At 23 -5 speed, Jakob isn't likely to outspeed naturally), and with the accelerated special, he's going to get off an Ignis(Outside of Guard). I consider this to be a greater threat than Lyn with a BB.

Granted I'm biased because BB Brave Lyn is free bait for my Nino(Distant Defense seal too good) where as I'm pretty damn sure Ignis one shots poor Nino.

That's not to say that BB Lyn is weak by any means. Especially with a dancer.

Bold Fighter Brave Bow craps on anything Lyn can do. There is virtually nothing that can survive that.

Narcian Hard was pretty easy for the "kill 5 lv 35+ heroes" part. Just have someone to kill whatever unit Tiki/Gunter/Gaius doesn't want to deal with.

If you have a Lv40 version of the hero you can go fight Beginner Arena Assault and just keep rerolling until you see an opponent you can beat 1v1.

I've never pulled a Gaius so the 3* Lv1 Gaius from the quests was the only one I had. I ended up fighting the weaponless Lv35 staff user in Lunatic 8-4.

i just did the 8th stratum once each. had to use shards/crystals to level Gaius first.

also Ares's weapon looks really good for a vantage build. literally can proc a 3-charge special an unlimited number of times during enemy phase.

This one's a pass for me. Genealogy's my favorite but I don't really care about Lene or Ishtar. Ares I'm a big fan of but I'm flooded with red horses already.

...Man, this is gonna be the first day since they were released that I'm not going to get to complete my Arena and Arena Assault win daily quests (since they literally cannot be cleared today). Gonna bug me having those marked undone the whole day...

Cleared out almost all the first book chain challenges and GHB quests, as well as 26 bucks (not doing that again that first 13 bucks sucked) because I wanted my damn pitybreaker being at 9.5% but got one more 5* before hero banner rotated out at 10.5%

Not worth 26 bucks as that is probably her second worst nature but whatever I did want one

Guess I don't feel quite so dumb anymore. I was pulling all greens up to 10.5%, then the first one without any, my only choice was my second Micaiah. I was so pissed off I put $26 more into this stupid game, just for any Green, because they were all good and I didn't have any of them. Got a +Def/-Spd Inigo, which obviously isn't a great spread, but it does mean I now have 7 separate dancers for Arena Assault.

It's always better to spend money on these kind of games before the heat of the moment kicks in imo. If you just have some extra orbs to spend on whatever it's less risky to get conned into spending more money than you want. That's what I always try to do. However I had spent in the heat of the moment once before on the very first Genny banner and wasn't punished for it so I had bad habits from way back then that needed a 13 dollar slap.

It could've been worse I guess. Shigure, for example. At least I'd wanted Micaiah.

I had to look up a no-Inheritance walkthrough for this one. Usually when I watch one of these videos, I run into problems, because I have to level up a Felicia or something, so I just keep trying my own strategies. But this one used Ike, Bow Lyn, Finn, and Olivia, so I had them all ready to go from the outset, which was nice.

I walked Matthew onto the chokepoint death square along the south bridge and he soloed everyone with Serra healing him.

The legendary banner ended a lot better for me than it felt like it was going to be at the beginning. On the last day I hit a few 8% shots and finished with one of every legendary hero, Celica, Henry, Jakob and Genny, without a huge orb investment. A lot admittedly had bad natures but I can find a use for skill inheritence at least. Ephraim's Sturdy Stance could work on F!Corrin right?

Lyn infernal was really hard. I used pa azura, legendary ike, cyl lyn and micaiah and beat it without much problems. The biggest problem was the wary fighter blue general but micaiah dealt with him fairly easily. The second biggest problem was the red sword infantry with a suped up wo dao.

Brave Roy, Reinhardt, Brave Lyn, and a dancer took care of it without much difficulty. I gave Reinhardt lancebreaker to one round the lance armor.

I'm pretty sure DC Myrrh with Iotes shield can take care of the map pretty nicely as well.

I almost gave up on Lyn infernal, but I was finally able to beat it with L!Ephraim, Camus, Soren, and Olivia. I just had to give Olivia the Att+3 seal so she was able to ORKO Lyn. Possibly the toughest one yet.

Rhomphaia is a 16 mt with effectiveness against armored and cavalry foes. The refine Well it's Flashing Blade, so Wing Spear.

Camilla's Axe is 16 mt that grants her +4 Atk/Spd if she's within 2 spaces of a cavalry or flying ally. The refine Gives +3 Atk/Spd to cavalry and flying allies during combat. Basically Rose's Thorns

And finally Corrin's Yato

+2 to all stats. Gives +4 to all stats to his support partner if he's within 2 spaces of them

Sealed Falchion is kinda irritating because I think it's kinda just better than the special normal Falchion refine and I already made that for Chrom.

I guess normal Falchion has renewal which is worth something? I dunno

Think the Lucina's want SF since they're not designed to take hits. Chrom wants Brave Sword if you don't need an answer to dragons. Don't even know why it's called Sealed Falchion because that implies an inferior form

I can now replace Darting Blow on MM with Fury. She might want Desperation over Renewal now, but she just got a lot better.

So... this is weird.



I've been staring at Jagen's page for a little while trying to figure out how mine has 31 Atk and his boon is 30. And I've come to only one logical conclusion. They must have given him a minor buff.

Either that or for some reason having Fortify Cavalry gives +1 Atk to the carrier

some stats end up being +4 for a boon instead of +3 (or -4 for a bane instead of -3). gamepedia shows that being the case for Jagen's atk; don't think it's anything new.

Gamepress doesn't usually have that kind of screw-up. That's why it threw me off. If it's a +4 boon it usually shows it, such as it has every +4 boon/-4 bane that Winter Lissa has. Maybe it really was just an error as no one ever cared to train a +Atk Jagen to 5* 40.
