UnfairRepresent 04/03/18 2:22:44 PM #1:	Shelby Johnson, from Oregon, U.S, posted some screenshots of a conversation with her boyfriend in which he told her that its weird for her gut to stick out. And Twitter users went to town to criticise his unkind moves. After having issues with her weight for a long time, Shelby finally became happy with her body, so she was extremely hurt to hear the harsh comments. Tweeting about the conversation, Shelby revealed that her significant other told her its weird for her to have a bigger stomach than him, even though she says shes never felt more happy and healthy. Naturally, hundreds of Twitter users urged her to dump the unsupportive boyfriend, so she did. The messages showed Shelby asking her boyfriend to be completely honest and whether he found her less attractive He got it so, so wrong, telling her he doesnt think shes unattractive, but would if she continued to put on weight. Ive noticed, but it hasnt turned me off. But youre definitely getting a beer gut babe, he told her. After reading the messages, she tweeted: I am 120 pounds. I have been for about five months. My partner said this to me. Am I overreacting for feeling hurt by this? Im at a loss and just cant even comprehend how someone who claims to love me can say this. The original post got over 38,000 likes and many gave her the motivation she needed to dump him. If you gained weight who cares. Just shows you were happy and comfortable in your relationship, one wrote. But with him saying that to you. Thats bullshit! No matter how happy you were. You dont deserve that. If he cant handle you at your worst he doesnt deserve you at your best. Another woman said her husband supported her even as she struggled with an eating disorder, saying your partner shouldnt be commenting on your weight, especially when youre healthy. It's a slippery slope though, weight gain. Maybe you don't notice a few pounds here and there, but then one day you wake up and you're past the proverbial "point of no return." People in long term relationships seem especially prone to suffering this, and it gets worse the older you get. It sucks when you've been seeing a girl for a while because there's really no way to approach the situation where it doesn't immediately hurt and/or piss them off.
