Huh. Well, that wasn't what I was expecting. Pretty good! Although you can tell it's a video game adaptation, there was enough flair to it that it seemed to stand on it's own, though I'm unfamiliar with the source. Pretty good OP, too, though since this was acting as the ED for the episode I'm not sure if this is a shortened version. Based on the lead into it I think it is.

To contrast with Persona 5 yesterday...I'm gonna be watching with my roommate, but boy that seems like a totally worthless piece of media for anyone who has already played the games. Hopefully that changes later. As far as what the first episode covered it was just extremely lackluster.

Yea honestly I wasn't expecting too much outside of it being a retelling of the game, at the very least for these early episodes. Hopefully they do add more but I wouldn't exactly be shocked if they don't really.

I think the most jarring thing to me is that it actually seems noticeabley worse than the same content in the games. Like....I feel like someone would have a better time watching somebody else play the game than watch this?

It's just the first episode though so hopefully I'm wrong.

Wow, that...yeah, that was all over the place. I don't know if I can watch this. There were a couple beautifully animated action moments, but...a mess would he the best way to describe it. It's clearly trying to do something, but I don't know what that something is.

Also of note that this isn't a new Cutie Honey start, it's a sequel or an alternate timeline or something. Seems to be for people who are already huge fans.

That's what I'm holding onto. Optimally the P5 anime will add a bunch of stuff because a lack of character content was P5's biggest flaw.

Dropped B: The Beginning. Took me a month to get through 3 episodes, and I'm trying to stick to one non-airing anime at a time, so this is just in the way of getting to something I'm excited to watch. It's not bad, but I'm not too invested in it. Maybe if I ever get better Internet I'll check it out dubbed on Netflix, but I'mma switch to something else. Not sure what yet...

After three months of very sporadic watching, I've finally finished A Certain Magical Index, including the movie. There were a few things I didn't like (quite often, characters would be portrayed as over-the-top super evil, and then they'd show up later and due to slightly different circumstances they're suddenly the good guys? Man, people in anime in general are way more forgiving than I would be) but overall I thought it was a fun show. Toma's power was always used in interesting ways and Index remained the best the whole way through. I was happy just to have her in the background biting Toma so it was always a plus that she was portrayed as competent when something entered her area of expertise. Index is a top ten anime character imho

I'll have to watch A Certain Scientific Railgun someday too.

Devil's Line episode 1 beated

I take it back. Dorei-ku will probably not beat this in terms of terribleness. The main vampire literally cucks the boyfriend of the main girl in the FIRST EPISODE by arresting that boyfriend for being a vampire.

Oh wow I just caught up on Franxx, that was legitimately a fantastic episode. There's still a few things that need to be explained a bit but still, wow. I teared up at the end.
